PolyU Tourism Service Quality Index of 2013: An Overview
The index of tourism service quality for 2013 is 77.30 which is 1.93 points higher than the index score for 2012. It is a weighted average of the indices of the six tourism-related service sectors. The attractions sector receives the highest score of 81.37 among all the six sectors whilst the restaurants sector receives the lowest score of 73.91 which is even lower than its index score from last year. The Americas scores the highest of 82.81, followed by Australia, New Zealand and Pacific (82.28), Europe, Africa and Middle East (80.57), South and Southeast Asia (76.76), Mainland China (76.36), Taiwan and Macau (73.82) and Japan and Korea (68.86).
